The RRO has changed its plans for this week’s performance and in an unexpected development will present Sixth Sketch for Ascent And Descent – it being impossible to recreate the Fifth Sketch performed at last week’s Hearsay Festival with Willy Carr. Featured performers include Ed Baxter (electric bass guitar), Peter Lanceley (electric guitar), Andrew Ford (electric guitar), Simon King (electric guitar), Michael Umney (electric guitar) and Eloise MacDonald (violin). That’s at the Resonance104.4fm and Gwaith Sŵn presentation of RELICS on Thursday 27 November at 7.30pm at the Science Gallery London Pop Up, basement of Boland House, St Thomas Street, London SE1 9RT (thirty yards from the Shard – underneath McDonald’s). Entrance is free! Following their acclaimed installation Reflected Back Into Space last month, sound art collective Gwaith Sŵn presents this special night of sound performances exploring decline and decay – featuring Kevin Ka Wei Chan, Sam Conran, Paul Freeman, Daniel Linn-Pearl, Jonathan Mayne, Gyorgy Ono and – breaking news! – Stephen Stamper.
