RRO will perform at the Venice Biennale 2013 when the City of Culture Visual Arts Programme is launched on 31 May at the British Pavilion in Giardini di Castello. Supported by the British Council and City of Culture, we’ve been invited by Void gallery to realise a new work as the musical element of Derry/Venice 2013. “Why I Named My Son After Feargal Sharkey” finds RRO reprising its collaboration with artist Bob and Roberta Smith to present a lop-sided homage to the singer of Derry punk band The Undertones. Featuring Chris Weaver (electronics) and Toby Clarkson (electronics, visuals).
